Is there a more accurate representation of “Kansas weather” than the weather we’ve had this February?! Thankfully, the day for Kaylynn’s senior session was really nice! When I heard Kaylynn wanted an urban session, I was so excited. I had a lot of places in mind, but she narrowed it down to the Pop-Up Park and Bradley Fair.
Kaylynn is a natural in front of the camera. I really barley had to “pose” her. She was flowing through her movements and knew exactly what she was doing. The Pop-Up Urban Park is an adorable “park” in downtown Wichita on Douglas. It has colorful chairs, tables, and it’s right next to the ICT Chalk Talk wall. We started there and had lots of fun with the colorful chairs, bikes, Indian statues, and chalk wall.
We drove over to Bradley Fair next. We didn’t know that there was a homecoming or some type of dance going on, and there were high schoolers galore taking pictures there! Luckily, we got out of their way and got a ton of amazing shots around the shopping center. After that we hit up Barnes and Noble. Disclaimer: I didn’t ask if I could take pictures in Barnes and Noble! Cringe! I know, I really meant to, but it was Saturday evening and the place was packed. So we stayed out of people’s way and took some by the vinyl records, poetry section, and just for fun, the kids section!
What an amazing urban senior session this turned out to be! I loved so many images from this session, it was super hard to pick just a few to show you all on this post. I hope you enjoy as much as I enjoyed taking and editing these.
