Meet the bubbly, sassy, and outgoing Abriel! From the moment Abby walked in Starbucks, I knew her pictures would be amazing. I instantly envision a client’s session when I meet them, and I just knew she’d be a blast to hangout with! She told me all about her animals and about how she volunteers at a rescue center and thought that taking pictures there would be awesome. I was so down, so that’s where we met up for her session later next week.
I learned so much about Abby before, during, and even after her session. She started her session off by showing me her color guard rifle, twirling it, tossing it, and catching it. I think I could’ve watched her do that all day. Later on, she told me that one of her favorite high school moments was actually about color guard!
“My last Color Guard performance was at Washburn University. I put everything into what I put on the field that day. It was a perfect fun and I just cried standing on the field. What’s funny to me is that I was in the front in the middle of the field and when we got off the field all the senior stood in a circle talking about how much we were going to miss the program. It’s like a family. You don’t realize it but it becomes your home away from home.”
Another thing I loved about Abby was her passion for animals. She has horses and a dog named Augustus! She even said that the one thing she couldn’t live without would be Augustus! Abby has a heart of gold, so I know she’ll put all her passion and drive into everything she does in the future.
Abby says that a person she looks up to most is her mom. She said her mom has overcome so much and really showed her that she can accomplish anything. It’s no surprise to hear that Abby will be getting her EMT certification in the fall and then moving to Colorado for school after that. This girl’s got drive, and I’m so glad I got to hangout with her, her animals, and make some awesome memories with her.
